If you’re confident in Siri’s abilities to dictate text and accurately relay what you are saying into a message, you can enable a feature that allows you to automatically send messages from Siri on iPhone without asking for a confirmation first.
When the confirmation is enabled, you’ll see the text typed out that Siri has dictated from your voice to the message, and then Siri will ask to confirm to send the message. With the automatic sending feature enabled, there is no confirmation, Siri will just send the message right away. Sound good? How to Send Messages Automatically with Siri from iPhone
Want to send messages with Siri without a confirmation? Here’s how to enable that:
- Open the “Settings” app
- Go to “Siri & Search”
- Toggle the switch for “Automatically Send Messages” to the ON position
You can then adjust the setting further to enable or diusable the automatic sending of messages with Siri for headphones including earbuds or AirPods, and for CarPlay.
Depending on your confidence of Siri’s abilities, you may like or dislike this feature, and while it’s undeniably convenient and faster to send messages without a confirmation, it’s also more prone to have a translation error as your voice is converted from spoken word to text through the dictation Siri engine.
Fortunately now that there’s an ‘unsend message’ feature with iMessages, and an ‘edit messages’ feature too, it’s not the end of the world if you do send off a message that doesn’t make a lot of sense thanks to Siri.
