Mastering Off-Camera Fill Flash: Pro Techniques from Joe Brady

On this comprehensive guide by Joe Brady (from PhotoVideoEDU Program) we look at using a single flash and look at different situations of shooting.

Brady does a very extensive video on working with off camera flashes. If you are just starting with flashes this is a very good place to start. One of the interesting things Brady covers on this video is light modifier – apparently you will not necessarily need the most expensive gear in this case and in many cases it is the more basic, inexpensive stuff (a white cardboard or even a simple lighting umbrella that will do the best job when shooting a portrait with an off-camera flash.

This is not the first time we are looking at triggering a flash remotely – if you want to learn more about triggering flashes off camera check out  Adam Lerner “Back to Basics – How to Trigger an Off-Camera Flash“.
