Create Stunning Dramatic Hard-Lit Portraits with 2 Speedlights: Pro Tutorial by Jeff Rojas

In this short video photographer Jeff Rojas demonstrates how to easily create a dramatic, portrait using two flashes and a Rogue 3-in-1 Flash Grids.

The setup for this shoot is really basic – two flash-lights with grid (narrow ones) one in front of the model facing down from the side and one behind the model facing the background (which is about 5 feet away). That is it – really simple but powerful and dramatic at the same time.

We have already seen Rojas previously in a  creativelive video talking about “Common Portrait Poses to Avoid“. This is also not the first time that we are looking at shooting dramatic portraits – you can also check out “Shooting with a Softbox Grid for Dramatic Soft Lighting” by  Gavin Hoey.
