Master Mixing Strobes and Speedlights for Pro On-Location Photography

On this extensive Bowens video by Joe Brady (from MAC-On- Campus) we take a look at combining the lighting capabilities of both speedlights and strobes.

Modern speedlights are very capable but they still have limitations on power, consistency and recycle time. Strobes don’t have these limitations and in the video Brady takes a single Bowens Gemini monolight on location with a couple of Speedlights for shooting outdoor portraits.

We have covered other combinations of lighting including “How to Use Continuous Light and Strobes Together” by photographer Jay P. Morgan as well as Mixing HMI and LED Lights.

You can check out some of Brady’s previous videos here as well as many more lighting videos on our photography lighting section.
