Assuming you followed the steps properly, you now know how to set up location-based notifications with Find My app on your iPhone and iPad.

Once you’ve properly set this feature up, you will receive a notification once your contact has arrived or left a designated location right on your device’s lock screen. This comes handy when you’re trying to pick up your friends or family members from a particular location. It can be also used as a parental control tool to keep an eye on your children, and make sure they haven’t left the house, school, or some other location. And many people, partners, and friends use this feature for many other purposes too. It’s quite useful!

Similarly, you can also notify your contacts as you enter or exit a selected location. So, you can configure notifications for someone else in your contacts list, who don’t necessarily have the technical knowledge.

If you want to remove the notifications feature at any point, simply head over to the notifications section for a particular contact within the Find My app.

Aside from sharing your location and finding other people with Find My, you can also track down misplaced devices finding them from iPhone or iPad or by using the Find My Mac app to locate the last recorded location of your missing iPhone, iPad or Mac too, all within a matter of seconds.
