Apple has announced an event for Tuesday, October 13 at 10:00 AM PDT.
While Apple does not state the reason for the event, it is widely assumed to be when iPhone 12,o and perhaps some other products services will be announced.
Rumors surrounding iPhone 12 suggest the device will come redesigned with flatter edges to more closely resemble the iPad Pro lineup, and arrive in three different sizes, with 5.4″, 6.1″, and 6.7″ OLED displays. The new iPhones are also expected to have 5G cellular connectivity, faster processor performance, and improved cameras.
Of course all of this is technically based on rumors, but it’s worth pointing out that Mark Gurman at Bloomberg has an extremely good track record of accurately forecasting and detailing Apple products and events, and the aforementioned Bloomberg article offers further information on what to expect for those who are curious to get a sneak peak.
It’s possible other smaller products or services will be announced at the October 13 keynote address as well, though the new iPhone 12 is sure to be the tentpole announcement.
For Apple fans that enjoy watching product keynotes and presentations of new product releases, Apple has set a placeholder link on YouTube here. and the same placeholder has been embedded below as well.
Apple also has an event webpage available for online viewing as well.
