Want to be the first to preorder iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus? Then prepare for a late night.
Apple enthusiasts interested in preordering the iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus can do so this evening, beginning at midnight pacific time (12:00 AM PST / 3:01 AM EST) on September 15.
If you want to get your hands on the iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus on the September 22 release date, it’s a good idea to preorder the device early, or go wait in line at a retail store.
The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus feature 4.7″ and 5.5″ displays in a new glass-backed enclosure that otherwise looks the same as the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6 series does with rounded corners, a Home button with Touch ID, and other familiar features. Of course it’s also faster with a better CPU, has improved camera capabilities, and the iPhone 8 line will support plug-less charging via third party Qi charging systems or an AirPower mat available next year from Apple.
You can preorder iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus through any mobile cellular provider website that carries the iPhone (AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, in the USA), through the Apple.com iPhone 8 page, or through the Apple Store application in iOS.
Users who grab the initial preorders of iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus will get their release date of September 22, though it’s important to point out that most iPhone preorders sell out quickly and the shipping date slips a few weeks after that.

Remember, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are entirely different devices than the iPhone X, which was also announced at the same Apple event. If you’re looking to pre-order iPhone X then you will have to wait until October 27, or visit a retail store early on the iPhone X release date of November 3 to try and buy one in person.
