Touted as “The World’s Most Influential Media, Entertainment & Technology Show,” The International Broadcasting Convention in Amsterdam is sure to assemble some of the world’s greatest broadcasting minds into one convenient location. If you’re going this year, you’ll be joining 57,000 fellow creators to peruse the show and network among over 1,700 different exhibitions from September 13th through the 18th.
These large-scale trade shows can be quite overwhelming — with keynote speakers from companies such as YouTube, BBC, and Viacom on site, trying to get to all of the places you’d like to see may prove difficult. That’s why we’ve assembled some of the must-see speakers at this year’s event in one quick, convenient list.

Booths to Check Out This Year
Blackmagic Design — Booth 7.B45
Blackmagic Design came in hot this year at NAB, releasing the highly anticipated Blackmagic Pocket Cinema II, so if you’ve been looking to get your hands on the prototype, this is the place to check out.
Avid — Booth 7.B55
Avid is one of the leading editing applications on the market right now, and has been for a very long time. Their booths usually come stocked with knowledgable staff that will profess the gospel of Media Composer. If you are looking to convert from your current NLE, these are the folks that might help you down the path.
Canon Europe — Booth 12.D60
Canon has carved out a mighty spot at this years conference, and their booth will be sure to bring about an air of rumors – the mill has been swirling with talk of a new flagship full-frame mirrorless camera releasing sometime in the next month. If you are lucky, they just might have a nifty new prototype to look at.
ARRI — Booth 12.F21
Although ARRI hasn’t had any major releases in the past year besides their new large format camera, ARRI always has a fun booth atmosphere with gadgets and new tech to showcase.
Adobe — Booth 7.B35
One of the titans of the post-production world, Adobe is cozying up next to the other big players such as BMD and Avid in Hall 12 to share some of their products. Rumors are being whispered about some new exciting updates to the Creative Cloud suite, so be sure to see what they might be presenting.

Headed by BBC Studios’ CEO Tim Davie, this keynote dives into how traditional and public service broadcasters are trying to fit into the new emerging broadcast landscape of streaming and internet-based content.
