Dogs thrive on simple joys, and Nikon has tapped into that enthusiasm with a dedicated camera mount for pets.
Because paws are not ideal for pressing a shutter, the mount triggers automatically when a dog’s heart rate rises. The result? Every burst of excitement is captured on the SD card, giving you a gallery of your pet’s most spirited moments.
Nicknamed “Heartography,” the system pairs an elastic heart‑monitor band with Nikon’s SmartCase camera holder. Heart‑rate data is transmitted via Bluetooth and displayed on an OLED screen integrated into the mount.
The kit is not yet available for retail purchase, but other proven options exist, such as the GoPro Fetch mount and Sony’s dog‑friendly mount.
