On this video Jordy Vandeput from Cinecom demonstrates 5 useful video tricks/hacks that you can do in Premiere Pro to increase your production value easily.
The first trick is doing a dolly zoom effect without a zoom lens – all you need is a slider/dolly (or theoretically even a stedy hand or a motirized gimbal) and an editing software. You just need to an editing software and the ability to zoom in in post (if you shoot in 4K and release the final footage in 1080p than you should have enough resolution to play with).
The second has to do with animations – using easy ease in and out in the start and finish to make it more realistic.
The third one has to do with making your talent disappear (and re-appear in another part of the frame). A cool way of doing this is to shoot your talent on one location and snap their fingers. Then shoot him or her in another location in the same frame and use the crop tool in Premiere when the two shots are on on top of another.
The fourth tip is really cool – it is basically a way to add a little bit of motion to your shot by adding a sort of handheld look to your shots using keyframes (Vandeput explains this starting at 3:05 in the video).
The final tip has to do with making a punching scene look more realistic – the tip is simple – remove a frame just before the punch hits.
