Lightroom Quick Tip: Master Targeted Adjustments for Pro Photo Edits

This quick video tip by photographer Anthony Morganti will show you how to do targeted adjustments on portraits in a way which is not destructive to skin tones using Adobe Lightroom.

Targeted adjustments are very powerful tools in Lightroom. You can find them on the saturation tab of the HSL/B&W panel in the develop module of Lightroom (there is a circle you need to click and your mouse will get a crosshair). You can choose any color in the image – say green in the background and what you need to do is click the left mouse button and move the mouse either up or down depending on what you wan to do (more color – up – less color – down).

We have been covering Morganti’s quick tip series of videos for lightroom users including his previous videos “How to Work with Crop Overlays in Lightroon“, “Lightroom Quick Tip – Changing Background Color Easily“, “Lightroom Quick Tip – How to Quickly Remove Distractions from Lightroom“ and more recently “How to Share Images From Laptop to Desktop in Lightroom“ and “How to Use Clipping Indicators in Lightroom“..
