For many photographers, the simple pleasure of shooting with a fast 50mm lens is unmatched. It’s a surprisingly tough experience to get with a DSLR, though, thanks to crop factor. But, Nikon’s new 35mm 1.8G is the equivalent of a 52mm lens, which should feel like an old friend when you’re looking through the viewfinder. It’s sharp, fast and uses an ultra-compact Silent Wave Motor to make operation nearly silent. Plus, it’s only $200, which means there’s no excuse not to make space for it in your bag. It will make your photography teachers so proud. More details after the jump.
