Master Lightroom's Hidden Shadow Slider: Pro Editing Trick Revealed

This Quick video tip by photographer Matt Kloskowski shows you a new (or rather old) way to super recover details from shadows using Lightroom.

Back in the days before Lightroom 4, there was a slider that let you get huge amounts of shadow recovery from photos. Starting in Lightroom 4, that slider was removed and changed. However there’s an easy way to get it back if you have a photo that need some serious shadow recovery.

Now this isn’t always the best idea in every case because you will be introducing quite a bit of noise into the image along with the shadows, however in some situations where you simply must recover those details from the shadows no matter what – this might be your only option.
