The next installment in The Hunger Games movie trilogy may not be getting its big-screen debut until late next month, but anticipation for Catching Fire is already understandably high. In fact, tickets for the film have been on sale in the US since the beginning of October, nearly two months before its release.
Like most of the world, we’re huge fans of Katniss and her dystopian crew, so with November 22 not coming soon enough, we decided to volunteer a Hunger Games tribute of our own. In honor of Catching Fire, we scoured the Shutterstock footage library to create our own visual picture of what the 12 Districts of Katniss’ world might look like when presented to an outsider. Then we framed it all within the guise of our new (fictional) travel company, Shutterstock Tours.
With each district focusing on its own particular industry, the world of Panem is a truly segmented place, which is why we’ve created a separate 15-second clip for each one. And while travel between districts is impossible for most people in the books and movies, thanks to these videos, now you can visit them all.
