Step 1: Gather your materials
You will need:
* 2x 1/2-inch PVC pipes (each 10 feet long)
* 4x 90-degree PVC elbows
* 4x PVC T-fittings
* 4x PVC caps
* 1x roll of electrical tape
* 1x small drill
* 1x screwdriver
* 1x hacksaw
* 1x camera (with a tripod mount)
Step 2: Cut the PVC pipes
Cut the PVC pipes into the following lengths:
* 4x 2-foot sections
* 2x 3-foot sections
* 2x 5-foot sections
Step 3: Assemble the frame
Assemble the PVC frame by connecting the pipes together with the elbows and T-fittings. The frame should look like a square with two additional arms extending out from one side.
Step 4: Attach the camera
Attach the camera to the frame using the tripod mount. Position the camera so that it is pointing down at the center of the frame.
Step 5: Secure the camera
Use electrical tape to secure the camera to the frame. Make sure that the camera is stable and will not move around when you are using it.
Step 6: Test the rig
Test the rig by turning on the camera and taking a few photos. Make sure that the photos are clear and that the camera is positioned correctly.
Step 7: Use the rig!
Your overhead camera rig is now ready to use! You can use it to take photos or videos of your projects, work, or anything else you want to capture from above.
Tips:
* To make the rig more stable, you can add weight to the base. This can be done by filling the PVC caps with sand or water.
* You can also add additional arms to the rig to make it larger. This is useful if you want to capture a wider area.
* Be creative! There are many different ways to use your overhead camera rig. Experiment and see what you can come up with.
