To honor its centennial milestone, Leica has unveiled a suite of new products: a purely mechanical M‑A rangefinder, a trio of Summilux‑M lenses, a new Macro‑Elmar‑M 90 mm f/4, and a Macro‑Adapter‑M.
Only 101 copies of the exclusive Leica M Edition 100 will be produced. Each set bundles the M‑A camera, a silver Leica M Monochrom, and three Summilux‑M lenses (28 mm f/1.4, 35 mm, and 50 mm). The package is housed in a custom black anodized aluminium case crafted by Rimowa and comes with a few rolls of Kodak TRI‑X 400 black‑and‑white film. These items are not available for individual purchase.
The first edition sold at auction for €120,000 (≈$163,000).
In addition, Leica is introducing the collapsible Macro‑Elmar‑M 90 mm f/4, a versatile macro/portrait lens, paired with the new Macro‑Adapter‑M. Both pieces will debut in June at undisclosed prices.
