In addition to the Alpha 7 and 7R, Sony also announced the RX10, a superzoom with a range of 24-200mm and a constant maximum aperture of f/2.8. Couple that with a 1-inch, 20.2MP BSI CMOS sensor (same as the Sony RX100 II), a magnesium alloy body, a 1440k dot OLED Tru-finder and Sony’s new BIONZ X processor, and you have a pretty impressive little camera.

Thanks to the BIONZ X processor, the RX10 churns out 10fps burst with continuous AF and HD video capture at 24p and 60p. While the camera only offers contrast-detection AF, it does so using a new Direct Drive Super Sonicwave Motor. It also features lock-on AF and “Eye AF,” to help you keep your subjects in focus, especially when zoomed all the way in.

Like the 7 and 7R, the RX10 also features WiFi and NFC connectivity. Perhaps my favorite feature of all, though, is the ability to toggle the aperture ring between a smooth/silent mode and a normal stepping mode, perfect for videographers.

Available in November, the RX10 will set you back $1300.
