Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-200mm f/3.5-6.3: Highest Magnification Lens for ILC Mirrorless Systems

Early this morning Olympus announced the arrival of its newest lens: the M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-200mm f/3.5-6.3 (the 35mm equivalent to a 24-400mm). The lens is compatible with the Olympus OM-D camera body, has a 16.6x zoom, and will offer shooters the highest magnification currently available on an ILC mirrorless system.

Like most of Olympus products, the lens is dustproof and splashproof, making it a great option for shooters who spend their time outdoors. The lens will have a close focusing distance of 8.7 inches when shooting wide. While shooting telephoto it will have a maximum magnification of 0.46x for close-up shots.
