On this very quick and basic video Colin Smith from PhotoshopCAFE shows how to remove power lines from images in Photoshop.
Don’t you hate it when you take a great photo just to realise later that there were annoying power lines in the image? In this video Smith shows how to do it quickly in a non destructive way.
You create a new layer and use the spot healing brush and choose sample all layer and choose a brush size which is about the same size as the power line. The trick here (in case you are not familiar with it) it to use the shift key to create a straight line (this work with most similar tools in Photoshop as well). Notice that Smith left some power lines in the center of the image – you can use the same method there as well but you will probably need to zoom in and do this more carefully and it might take you a little bit more time – depending on how complex the area around the power line is.
