These 25 firework video clips are perfect for backgrounds, overlays, and accents. Download them now for FREE.
Accent your summertime video edits with Shutterstock’s Firework Freebie Pack. The pack includes twenty-five video clips, including firework bokeh bursts, smoke, fuses, and sparks. All of the video clips are 4K and filmed in slow motion. You can easily combine the clips together or change their color for a wide variety of different firework effects.
What’s Included in the FREE Firework Video Pack?
Included in the pack are twenty-five different firework video clips. The free bokeh and fireworks video clips were divided into several downloads that you can find below. Each firework video was recorded in 4K at 180 frames per second. This means the firework footage is over 7x slower than it appeared in real-time! Plus, ten of the video clips are firework bokeh backgrounds. These create a mesmerizing effect when filmed in slow motion.
Nine of the clips are videos of smoke effects. The turbulence of the smoke almost looks like ink flowing in water. The smoke was filmed in a few different styles for more variation, such as full smoke backgrounds, flowing smoke, and slow wisps of smoke.
Also included are four video clips of spark effects with crackles, and two video clips of firework fuses. Each was filmed at different angles.
How to Change the Color
One of the coolest things you can do with the footage is actually change the colors of the bokeh, smoke, and spark effects. You can do this by adjusting the color hue of the footage.
To do this in Premiere Pro, apply the effect Lumetri Color to your clip. Then, under the Curves setting, find the Hue vs. Hue color curve—it looks like a rainbow line. Click on the line, and drag it up and down to shift the entire color hue of your footage. This allows you to easily change the color effects of the fireworks. To learn more about the process, check out our video tutorial How to Change Colors on Footage in Premiere Pro.
Creative Ways to Use the Firework Pack
The footage in this pack is perfect for video overlays and backgrounds. To overlay the clips on your footage, just place a firework clip over your footage, then change the Blending Mode of the clip to something like Add or Screen. You can also combine multiple firework clips together this way, creating an awesome finale effect!
