Brandon Li reviews a pre-released demo version of the Moza AirCross Gimbal by walking through the city of Hong Kong. He goes through the paces of covering the technical aspects, but what I am most interested in, and what he's best at, is showcasing his style of shooting and his way of moving through the city and getting the shots he's known for.
He shares his gear and shows off the capabilities of an Anamorfaux lens filter that gives an anamorphic effect on his shot. I enjoy his quick edits and shots he gets even while shooting with an old Russian, manual-focus Helios lens, which gives a great bokeh and great color rendition.
His thoughts are that the gimbal is light and cheap, it can carry most mirrorless cameras with prime lenses, and that the gimbal is generally good value but not perfect, although some of the bugs he mentions have apparently been fixed with a firmware update already.
There is no link to the gimbal yet as it's a pre-release, and also no price, so we can't say what it'll set you back. We will however keep you updated as soon as we know.
My opinion is that if you're into travel and street video, this looks like a rather good option. I'd love to get my Fujifilm X-T20 on this with an vintage Nikkor lens to see what it can do. If you want to find out more about the Moza Air Gimbal, you can check his review on it below.
