If you’re not quite ready to pony up for Nikon’s AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED lens, this new wide angle might be exactly what your bag has been missing. $899 gets you 14 elements in nine groups and an ultra-wide range (15 to 36 mm in 35mm format). The press release claims that the build quality is similar to that of the slightly less versatile AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 12-24mm f/4G IF-ED.
