Memoto, the wearable camera that originated as a Kickstarter campaign, has undergone significant changes as it prepares for its first shipment. The company has rebranded itself as Narrative, and its flagship device is now called the Narrative Clip.
According to a letter from CEO Martin Källström, the name change was driven by trademark conflicts that required a fresh brand identity. The Narrative team explains that the new name better reflects the company’s mission to help users capture and share everyday moments.
Starting November 1, pre‑orders and Kickstarter backers will receive their devices as the company begins shipping production units across the globe. The Narrative Clip is priced at $279, with a $9 per month subscription fee for cloud storage after the first year.
Designed for hands‑free use, the Narrative Clip captures two GPS‑tagged photos per minute and runs on a battery that lasts up to two days. Its compact, lightweight form factor makes it ideal for recording spontaneous events—from concerts to everyday errands.
