Thematic Echo, or Echo Motif: the echo effect refers to recurring ideas or references (visual or written) throughout the text that reinforce, develop, and enrich the film's central thesis. While echo effects may often reflect thematic motifs, thematic motifs don't have to take the form of the same image recurring several times. Often echo motifs emerge naturally out of thematic conflicts.
