There is no such thing as Netflix staying away from theaters. Although some streaming services are avoiding theatric releases for some of their films, Netflix has had multiple theatrically-released films throughout their history. Netflix produced their first motion picture film, Beasts of No Nation in 2015 which had a very brief, one-week theatrical release before premiering on Netflix, a practice they would often repeat in later years for more films. More recently in 2022. Netflix premiered the Academy Award-nominated film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery for one week in cinemas before coming to Netflix.
